Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxemburg together, form the Benelux. Belgium is a founding member of the European Union and hosts the EU headquarters in Brussels, as well as NATO a.o. With an area of approx. 30.500 square kilometers and a population of almost 11 million people, Belgium is bordered by The Netherlands in the north, Germany and Luxembourg in the east, France in the south and the North Sea in the west. Belgium’s official languages are Dutch, French and German, whereby Dutch (Flemish) is spoken in the northern region of Flanders, French in the southern region of Wallonia and German in the eastern region of Wallonia. Zaventem, or Brussels Airport as it prefers to be called, is the main international airport but Liege Airport (LGG) in the east is rapidly becoming its equal especially where the movement of cargo is concerned. Other main airports are located in Charleroi (CRL), Ostend-Bruges (OST) and Antwerp (ANR). Transport in Belgium is well-developed with road, air and sea networks. The ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge (Bruges) are two of the biggest seaports in Europe.
Global Airline Services has been active in Belgium since 2002. The Belgium office is located at the Brussels Zaventem Airport , where 10 people are working.
