Spain

The Kingdom of Spain is a member state of the European Union located in southwestern Europe on the Iberian Peninsula. Its mainland is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, the North Atlantic, France, Andorra and Portugal. It is the second largest country in Western Europe and the European Union, after France. Spanish is the world’s second most spoken language. Within the EU, Spain has the second highest number of immigrants percentage-wise (Cyprus has the highest) but the highest in actual numbers.

Spain is a developed country and the 9th largest economy in the world and 5th largest in Europe. It is also the 3rd largest investor in the world. The tourism industry has grown to become the 2nd biggest in the world. The busiest airport of Spain is the airport of Madrid (MAD). The airport in Barcelona (BCN) is also widely used.
